Take a look at some of our installs. Updates will be added over the years as we, like our gardens, grow.
This is my personal back patio, where I've installed a 100% native garden that showcases what can be possible. Several species have bloomed in this first year, and we've hosted both monarch and swallowtail caterpillars.
Installed Fall 2024, this micro-meadow garden was given away to the lucky winner of a contest I held to celebrate the launch of Meadowlark Nativescapes. The total planting was just shy of 800 plugs, close to 500 sqft, and is comprised of 17 species.
FAQ
How do you design?
After assessing your unique area, I choose a selection of native grasses, sedges, and flowers to create a space perfectly suited for your site conditions.
Where do you source plants from?
I get all plants used in your space from reputable native plant growers as close to our area as possible.
Do you use live plants or seed?
I use live plant plugs, which establish quickly and give fast gratification. If you have an exceptionally large project, we can talk about seeding options.
Why should I care?
Turf grass lawns, while pleasing to look at, are biologically dead and unsustainable. Native lawns are rich in biodiversity, water-conserving, don't require fertilizing or pesticides, and help combat pollinator extinction in our ever-changing climates.
